Volunteering at Events

I’ve honestly never been one to go to a local soup kitchen much and volunteer, although I likely should. However recently I’ve been trying to get myself a bit more into volunteering for things that stimulate and help grow the market a little bit higher up.
I didn’t get a ROFLCon ticket so I’m volunteering for one day to get a ticket for another day. Mark Doerschlag of Mark’s Guide is organizing a BizDevCamp that I’m assisting to plan, develop and get off the ground. Things have been stalled with it a bit as we haven’t secured a location yet, but I’m helping out the next Boston BarCamp 2008 as a sponsorship/fundraising coordinator. I also hope to hold a talk/session at the next PodCamp 3 Boston. Although mainly through Jazkarta, I am also helping out with the Boston Plone Calendaring Sprint that’s coming up at the end of this month.
I am very excited to involve myself with more and more events and rather enjoy it.
